I’ve always believed that the secret to a happy life is finding a way to make the world a
better place, one step at a time. That’s why, when I was in the middle of being a busy,
sleep deprived mum with a little bubba in my arms, I knew that I had to share my
passion and purpose with the world. In that moment, I decided to create a space where
mums can come for support, drop in to share stories, and find the adorable little products
that make those early years even more precious. I came up with the idea for Husk and
Will – a new baby boutique in Caloundra – and never looked back. But that’s only part of
my story…….

Our bricks and mortar store holds a special place in my family’s heart. My great
grandparents operated a shoe store, Shannon’s Shoes, in the same building for 30
years. My Mum has now owned Shannon’s Shoes for 17 years and it is now located
across the road. She has fond memories of running around the store as a child and it’s
heart-warming that now my children will be doing the same thing. Five generations of
family history in our store at 31B Bulcock Street Caloundra. It is any wonder that this
little corner of the Sunshine Coast felt like home from the moment I opened the doors.
