Not sure what to pack in your hospital bag? Well here is a few essentials items that I found useful throughout my hospital experience.

    1. Water Bottle with a Straw: Apart from the importance of staying hydrated, a water bottle WITH A straw is a must have. Perfect for easy sipping during labour and postpartum - breastfeeding thirst is real. Perfect labour water bottle linked here

    2. Long Phone Charger: Chances are you'll be spending a significant amount of time in the hospital bed, and having a long phone charger will allow you to keep your devices charged but can still use it to take 1000 photos of your new baby.

    3. Toiletries for Mum: Pack a toiletry bag containing essential items for you! Include items such as face wash, hairbrush, toothbrush, lip balm and  moisturiser (just to list a few). There is no better feeling than having that first shower after labour, so having all your favourite products will make you feel so fresh!

    4. Nursing Supplies: If you plan to breastfeed, it's important to pack essential nursing supplies. This may include nursing bras, nursing pads, nipple cream, and a breastfeeding pillow. These items will help facilitate breastfeeding and provide comfort during the early days.Click here for nipple cream. Click here for reusable nursing pads

    5. Postpartum Supplies: After giving birth, your body will go through postpartum recovery. Pack items such as postpartum underwear (more comfortable than pads), Perineum ice packs, Perineal soothing spray and postpartum wipes.

    6. Comfortable Clothing: Choose loose and comfortable clothing to wear during your hospital stay. Pack a few sets of pyjamas or robes, along with slippers (they are a must). Also consider nursing friendly clothing because no doubt you'll spend more time feeding than not.
